Area
- The area of a shape is the amount of flat space inside the shape.
- The units used are square millimetres (mm2), square centimetres (cm2), square metres (m2), square kilometres (km2) and hectares (ha).
- Area is 2-dimensional like a carpet or an area rug.
- A triangle is a three-sided polygon. We will look at several types of triangles in this lesson.
